Tim Fausch has been writing for most of his life. From writing skits as a kid, to short stories and sports reporting in college, to magazine articles for work, to humor columns for his church newspaper (The Woodside News), Tim has enjoyed each opportunity. Tim loved writing so much he even delivered newspapers just to smudge ink on his hands.

In January, Tim released his first book, The Great Cheese Sandwich War, Thirty Humorous Devotional Stories and One Really Inspiring One. The book is a collection of humor columns reworked into a unique devotional format, certain to make you laugh while pondering the greater meaning.

People are searching for clean humor that will leave them smiling and encouraged. Author Tim Fausch focuses his slightly warped microscope on the mistakes, bad decisions, and calamities of everyday life. His stories are filled with humorous anecdotes, tales of self-humiliation, whimsy, encouragement, and a dash of perspective.

You’ll laugh at Tim’s family dilemmas, home repair blunders, travel travails, sports mishaps, and overall use of poor judgment. And with each story’s “Second Thots,” you’ll see where humor meets humanity, and how God turns these events into teachable moments.

“Tim Fausch has a wonderful way of looking at everyday life with fresh humor and inspiring insights. His Second Thots will make you smile, even laugh, and perhaps view your life a little differently.”
Doug Schmidt, Senior Pastor, Woodside Bible Church

“It was my wife, Dawn, who read the first story in this book. Then she read it to me. Then I began to read and didn’t sleep much that night as I sat in bed and chuckled. Tim Fausch has a way of looking at life that will keep you turning the pages. This is a funny book. I’d buy it and read it at the beach.”
Jerry Carnill, President / CEO, Extreme Response International

“They say to ‘dance when you can dance and to laugh when you can’t’. Tim Fausch helps us to see the humor in everyday living. It’s a good, fun read and will remind you to enjoy life in any form you get it.”
Ron Cline, Global Ambassador, HCJB Global

“Tim Fausch has an uncanny ability to help us see the joy and humor in the ups and downs of life like no one else I’ve known. Through it all, he keeps a healthy perspective on what is really important, always managing to see God’s grace in some of life’s silliest and challenging moments. His stories will have you smiling and nodding in agreement that you, too, have been there, done that and learned a valuable lesson in the process.”
Mike Wendland, Communications Pastor, Woodside Bible Church

Tim Fausch is in the midst of a midlife semi-crisis. This is a good thing because he is exploring new ground, taking risks, and having fun laughing at his mistakes. Once the dust settles, he looks for humor, which is always plentiful. All the while, he’s seeking the greater meaning in life.
Tim wants to guest-star on “Man vs. Wild”, providing he can sleep in a Marriott at night. Unmarked trails and “keep out” signs are irresistible invitations. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, 3-on-3 basketball and hopes one day to do a brutally slow mini-triathlon.
In his day job, Tim is publishing director for BNP Media. He serves on the boards of Extreme Response International, Living Hope USA, and Woodside Bible Church.
Tim and Deb have been married for 26 years and live in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Their daughter and son-in-law, Jessa and Jordan Anderson, reside in Nashville. Their son Cory is completing his final semester of Information Technology studies at Central Michigan University.

Looking ahead, Tim hopes to spend more time writing columns and stories to encourage others. In particular, he hopes to use humor to challenge people to live their lives in pursuit of significance. Tim lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan, with his supreme spouse, Deb, and dumb dog Charley.
